Cloud computing is a form of streaming and storing information across great distances in a digital format, the way by which this is achieved is that there are these huge buildings called data centers, filled with rows and rows of super powerful computers that go up to the ceiling, these computers are used to store websites , and when a user requests to access certain information the server finds it and sends it to you through light pulses traveling in fiber optic cables which you can then connect to a WiFi router or a phone antenna and get wireless access to an interconnected of computers.
One thing that I learned from watching the video about how the internet works is that I always had a belief that the internet was kinda like a radio signal, like if you want to get to a certain website you gotta tune into a certain frequency and you can then “listen in” but actually all websites have a thing called an IP address that is series of numbers that helps the server identify the information you request and give you it.
